Scythe Kama Bay Amp Kro
The Kama Bay Amplifier Kro has been designed to allow the user to connect two hi-fi speakers directly to their PC.
It seems that many cooling manufacturers are now starting to diversify their products range, branching into new markets such as hi-fi audio. Firstly, we had Zalman with their 5.1 Surround Sound Headphones and now Scythe have launched an affordable high quality stereo amplifier.
The Kama Bay Amplifier Kro can be used as a external unit or for extra neatness it can be fitted into a spare 5¼” drive bay. If used internally the wires from the rear of the amplifier will need to be passed through the back of the PC case, and a PCI bracket is supplied to aid this.
The Kama Bay Amplifier Kro has been designed to allow the user to connect two hi-fi speakers to their PC, like the Scythe KroCraft Speakers. The amplifier is a very simple product to install; just connect the provided speaker wire to the rear of the amp and the speakers, plug in the power adaptor and finally, connect the amp to the input at the back of your sound card. It is as easy as that! Full instructions are supplied. Incidentally, if you are wondering what the word “Kro” means, it is derived from the Japanese word for “black”.

The overall sound coming from the speakers is very clear; the music can be heard with very good quality. If it is to be desired to have the amplifier box near you, you can easily change the level of amplification without getting up. Also you can have access to the amplified headphone connector if needed. Overall, I will rate this product 98%!
