Scythe Bay Rafter 3.5inch, HDD cooler

This simple product allows the installation of a 3.5in HDD in a 5.25in bay and can be used with or without a fan for extra cooling.

Bay Rafter 3½” allows the installation of a 3½” hard drive in a 5¼” bay and provides an opportunity for an 80, 92 or 120 mm fan to be fitted. This allows the user to choose a fan that either produces high airflow and noise for excellent cooling, or a fan that produces less airflow but is much quieter. Alternatively it can be installed in passive mode, i.e. no fan!

The Bay Rafter allows for an 80mm, 92mm or 120mm cooling fan to be fitted underneath, ideally suited to Western Digital’s Raptor drives. As these drives spin at 10,000 rpm they get very hot, which makes the Rafter a useful accessory for them.
