The fans on the JetStream series are designed to stay off while performing none intensive tasks such as internet browsing or running multimedia applications. It is only when the graphics card is being used for more intensive tasks like gaming do you find the fans start to rotate. The GPU has to reach a temperature of 60°C or a total board power of 60W, only then do the fans rotate.

Dual Fan for Optimised Airflow

A dual 9cm fan design offers double the cooling performance and combined with the fact that the fans rotate in different directions to reduce any airflow conflicts, all adds up to a very effective cooling performance.

If you are a gamer that wants to run games higher than 1080p then the additional 2GB of RAM that the 4GB offers will certainly help. But in most cases the resulting frame rates of both cards will be similar no matter which game is being played.
