MSI’s HD R6850 Cyclone OC builds on the reference design by ATI by adding MSI’s highly efficient Cyclone heatsink that provides more cooling over the stock R6850 cooler at lower noise levels. The Cyclone is up to 14°C cooler - but that is not all, this graphics card is also overclocked! The stock clocks for the R6850 are 775/1000, whereas the HD R6850 Cyclone OC clocks are 860/4400. With the MSI HD R6850 Cyclone OC you get a faster graphics card with better cooling, and amazingly it does this quieter than the stock cooler!

When you consider that the card has huge extra overclocking potential, it’s hard to justify choosing any other HD 6850 1GB. If you’re only looking to spend around £150 on your new graphics card, and don’t mind a bit of DIY overclocking, the Cyclone is a solid choice – it’s much faster than a £115 GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, and the next-fastest card up the performance ladder worth considering is the £190 GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB.
