Arctic Cooling Copper Silent 3 Socket A CPU Cooler
The Arctic Cooling Copper Silent 3 is a very quiet Socket A CPU cooler for legacy PC systems.
Low Weight
Weighing only 300g, the Copper Silent is still within the AMD specifications and is therefore one of the lightest low noise coolers available. This significantly lowers the risk of damage to the CPU die.
High Cooling Performance
A 10mm high copper core efficiently transfers the heat from the CPU to the aluminium heatsink. The heatsink is 78 x 80 mm in size and has 30 fins which offer a large amount of surface area.
Extremely Quiet
The patented “reversed-hanging” fan can practically eliminate the typical buzzing sound of standard 80mm fans.
Fan Mounting
The Fan has been mounted onto four rubber supports to prevent vibrations being transmitted to the heatsink.
Six Years Warranty
The ARCTIC Ceramic bearing offers an outstanding service life of 137,000 hours at 40°C.
Clip
A specially developed clip offers easy installation and a more accurate point of pressure. It is also very secure and will not fall off during transport.
Thermal Compound
The cooler is supplied with the ARCTIC MX-1 thermal compound. This compound hardens during the first 200 hours while the performance improves steadily. By heating up the paste/heatsink, the process can be shortened. The performance, even while cold and after installation, is good enough to cool a CPU reliably.
PLEASE NOTE - Arctic Cooling measure noise levels in Sone (loudness) instead of dB (sound intensity). The loudness depends upon your ears response curves and tells you how noticeable a certain noise is.

Customer Reviews
Excellent product
Bought this to replace a screaming fan on my old Athlon XP pc. Fitting was very easy. Took 20 mins from start to finish. Take advise from other reviewers and remove the power supply first. Only takes a minute and you don’t have to unplug anything except the power lead. Doing so gives you much more room to work.
It’s not exactly silent, but much quieter than the old one and makes the old pc (now comfortably running Linux Ubuntu 11.10 instead of Win XP) much more comfortable to use. Would certainly recommend this to anyone who needs to replace their cpu cooler on an older pc. Bios reports cpu running at a constant 43 degrees C. Have now ordered another replacement cooler for my new Core 2 Quad Q8400. Excellent service from Quiet PC. Very satisfied.
Arctic Cooling Copper Silent 3 Socket A CPU Cooler
I am not to sure about how to tell others how good your service is! Perhaps like the pc (an 8 year old TIME machine) I purchased the Arctic Cooling Copper Silent 3 Socket A CPU Cooler for, I am getting a bit long in the tooth. I would just like to say I am very impressed by your service and the quality of the cooler. Fortunately I had a new PSU to install so I had plenty of room to carry out the fitting of the cooler. This took approx. 3 minutes and was very easily done. It took longer to clean the old thermal compound off the surface of the CPU!!
In summary :- Excellent service Excellent product Easy fitting (Had to be as I am 75 years young and suffer with arthritis) Runs extremely quietly.
Quality Fan Replacement!
Didn’t expect to find such a great product for such an old, knackered Athlon XP 2100+ system, really happy with noise levels (quieter than the original when it was bought many Years ago) and took no more than a few minutes to install.
Inexpensive but quiet.
A little bit of a fiddle to align on an Athlon XP but clips on easily and securely. Runs quietly and I would recommend it if you need to replace your CPU cooler.
Quiet PC picked, dispatched and delivered this cooler very quickly… in fact much better service than a certain well known on-line computer component retailer!
Easy upgrade - wish I'd done it before
I had an old Athlon XP system that kept ‘beeping’ at me on recent hot days - I’ve been resorting to running with the case open but decided to fix it properly.
Upgrade was very easy - I had it installed less than 20 minutes after the package arrived and most of that was removing the old one. The package includes cooling paste, which is handy.
It’s now running around 11[deg]C lower but some of this will be due to the fact that the cooling paste on the old unit had boiled/melted away.
The unit is quieter than the old one, but not what I’d call silent, so 9 stars for me.
Not too bad
Much quieter than the previous heatsink, but one star off for very fiddly install, and two off for the fact that the fan vibrates like anything. and so the entire case resonates.
Arctic Cooling Copper Silent 3 Socket A CPU Cooler
Received very promptly - great service. Very easy to fit and works perfectly. Noise has been reduced considerably. Great product.
Great Product
I am converting an old PC into a FreeNas file server - wanted to make it quieter at the same time. Ordered this CPU cooler and it arrived next day. Fitting it was very easy but like other reviewer had to remove PSU to fit it in – took about 20 mins in all. Now running virtually silently and CPU running a couple of degrees cooler. Service from Quiet PC was great and efficient – would definitely use them again.
Have The Confidence Just Do It!
Very easy to fit, make sure the motherboard is flat, and you’ve got plenty of room to work in. I needed to move my power supply out of the way. The bit you need the confidence for is pinging off the clips of your old cooler, which is probably factory fitted. Once that’s out fitting the new cooler is a cinch with the easy to follow instructions. Pretty quiet cooler then the bearings had gone on my old one, that’s why I replaced it…..PS: Service from Quietpc was excellent….
