DeepCool Ice Matrix 400 Ultra Quiet CPU Cooler

The build quality of the Ice Matrix, like that of all DeepCool products, is exceptional and that’s probably the first thing you will notice when the cooler is taken out of its box. Unlike some coolers this looks and feels like a high quality piece of engineering.

- Four sintered powder heatpipes conduct heat from the processor quickly to protect it from overheating
- Heatpipes are lined up in a straight line to improve air flow through the heatsink
- Nickel plated copper base gives perfect contact with the CPU surface
- Dense anodised aluminium fins with big surface dissipate heat efficiently
- 120mm PWM fan with TPE cover fan frame to absorb operating vibration and noise
- Intelligent side flow design further utilises system airflow to improve computer case ventilation
- Compatible with Intel LGA1366/1155/1156/775 and AMD FM1/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2
Performance
The Ice Matrix is a tower cooler that is suitable for use with processors rated up to a maximum of 130w. As such the cooler is already highly capable straight out of the box and that’s due in part to its four U-shaped sintered heatpipes which quickly conduct the heat away from the processor.
The Ice Warrior’s 120 mm PWM fan can run extremely quietly (from as low as 500 RPM) but if more cooling is required then a second fan can be fitted (clips supplied) in a push-pull configuration. The fan also has a rubber-coated frame to help to absorb vibration from the already quiet fan.
