Jonsbo’s UMX3 is the third generation of the UMX series. It is designed to adapt Micro ATX motherboards with its key breakthrough being able to support high-end hardware while remaining a very compact chassis. With its ingenious stack-based concept in such a small space the UMX3 supports high-end dual slots graphics card with a length of no longer than 320mm and CPU coolers with height not exceeding 163mm.

The Micro-ATX case combines a steel chassis for maximum stability with an extravagant exterior designed in brushed aluminium. The design of the sleek aluminium casing is both elegant and functional. The fine curves of the UMX3 automatically draw attention to itself. A design highlight of the case is without a doubt the peppy designed “case foot”. Between the bottom of the chassis and the foot is a 35mm high recess. One advantage of this type of design is the inclusion of the air inlets at the bottom of the case to allow the best possible cooling for the installed drive bays. Thanks to the decoupled side panels the UMX3 is also very quiet during operation. The side panels rest on a dedicated silicone pads to optimally absorbing the vibrations that may incur.

The internal chassis of the UMX3 is made of high quality 1.0/1.2mm thick SGCC steel and gives the case maximum stability. A 2.0 mm thick aluminium panel encloses the chassis. The brushed aluminium is of the highest quality and gives the UMX3 a particularly attractive appearance.

The interior of the UMX3 offers a simple and functional design. It supports ATX power supplies which is mounted upright behind the front panel. A power cable then feeds towards the back of the chassis where there is the power inlet. The chassis also supports one 3.5” and three 2.5” drives or four 2.5” HDD/SSD can be installed at the bottom of the case.

The ventilation system of the UMX3 is designed to minimise noise while ensuring the best possible cooling. A 140mm and a 120mm fan are pre-installed at the top cover and rear of the chassis to provide continuous removal of heat generated from installed components. The air inlets in the floor, at the rear and top allow for ideal air exchange. Dust filters at the bottom of the chassis help to prevent dust entering the system. The dust filter can be easily removed and cleaned. At the front of the case two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 connectors are available externally, along with headphone and microphone ports.
