There is no doubt that the Coolink GFXChilla is a great little performer, whilst not infringing on those who prefer silence, or very close to it. Build quality is also evident even though the included fans look a little ‘gimmicky’ and light-weight. Furthermore, the braided cable finish is also a welcome inclusion and adds further evidence that this humble little heatsink is a very viable contender for your dollar.

The cooler is quiet and almost as effective as the Zalman VF1000 LED, even at full load. Verdict: 77%

Customer Reviews
Brilliant customer service/product
What can I say? From asking advice from Andy, their technical support guru to their delivery service - all exceptional!
Package arrived within a day of dispatch and it was nicely packaged. Installed on to a Nvidia 9500 GT
Now for the product, everything you need to install it was in the box. Instructions were really easy to follow, slightly fiddly..but then again, what isn’t? I’ve done previous upgrades and pc builds, but I am no pro..so even a novice can install this cooler with no issues.
Stock cooler and fan - 38c at idle and 50c/60c+ at load - jet turbine. This cooler and fan - 28c/29c at idle and 34c/35c at load - a rock (cannot even tell if it is running at times). Tested with FurMark.
As most other people have said - it is practically un-audible from a practically silent pc set up, the stock 9500gt fan was atrocious, it’s all you could hear!
Ok so my graphics card isn’t the most top end..but with these temps, all I can say is wow - definitely a worthwhile purchase :)
Great, but not for the faint hearted!
Fitted to my XFX Radeon HD 4770. Excellent service and advice from QuietPC (as always). There’s always something scary about fitting graphics card coolers. This isn’t an exception! All went together easily enough, just that worry about whether or not everything is put together correctly.
Loads of heatsinks, as mentioned in other reviews, but could have done with some more low profile heatsinks as one of my RAM chips is too close to the plate you screw into. Minor problem with fitting heatsinks to the voltage regulator chips - they were scattered all over the card! More an issue with bad card design than a fault with the product though. Pity you can’t plug the fans into the graphics card, needing to use a direct link to the power supply. Not sure what the issue is there.
Finally, could do with some spare washers - they’re tiny and easy to drop but only the correct number are supplied. A surprise as they’re so generous with the heatsinks.
Coolink GFXChilla. Heat sinks and threads!
Firstly excellent service from Quiet PC: as usual fast efficient delivery.
The Coolink GFXChilla seems reasonable except two down points. As I have since read about elsewhere the rams heat sinks have a less than flat base and very ‘unsticky’ thermal tape, so it was impossible to keep them on the ram. Quiet PC sent a different set of heat sinks. They arrived next day! That did the job!
The standoffs that screw into the frame holding the main GPU heat sink and fit through the PCB holes are very soft, the sprung nuts that attach do no have perfectly tapped threads. I managed to tighten three, but the fourth jammed and sheered off flush with the PCB hole. Have had to do some fiddling to make a replacement fitting to work.
The fans are effectively silent and the cooler does a nice job so no worries there, just be aware of the ram heat sink adhesive and the delicate stand off threads when fitting.
But thanks again to Quiet PC for excellent service!
Excellent piece of kit
Bought the GFXChilla to replace the noisy fan on my Sapphire HD5570. I had to take the side panel off my computer to check it was actually working, it was so quiet! Also delighted with the excellent customer service from quietpc.com, who recommended the fan!
Top quality cooler.
Bought this the other day to cool down my heat addicted 8800GTX. I was dubious to begin with as to just how much of a difference it was going to make, but after fitting, it lowered my cards GPU by 30 degrees. It was a doddle to fit and just about anyone could follow the simple instructions. It came with slightly too many heat-sinks (which makes a change from slightly too few) so I have a couple of spares should one decide to fall off. Overall I would highly recommended this product.
I must add a quick word about Quietpc, Excellent support team, competitive prices and more than that, just plain helpful.
Excellent!
Brilliant product, easy clear instructions, and has provided benefits beyond pure graphics card cooling!
Cool and Quiet
I fitted the GFXChilla to my ATI Radeon 9600pro it fitted perfectly and with very little knowledge. My only concern was ESD but using care it went very well. The difference it has made is incredible, the first two days I had to take the side off to see if it was actually turning amazing, the temperature is down by 50%, it no longer locks up when being push to its limits I use very demanding graphics. I am not overclocked. The Quietpc service was also out standing, delivery sent very next post many thanks. Highly Recommended.
Chillier 8800GT
I fitted this to my 8800GT to directly replace the stock cooling. Fitting is a little fiddly, but it comes with everything you need - including some thermal paste. The base of the heatsink doesn’t fit square over the GPU, so you have to be sure you fit it far enough over if you’re going to use two in SLI so that the bridge will fit. Thermal performance is a transformation - 2 hours of Crysis with the stock cooler would easily push temps up to 90 degrees C. With this it struggles to top 55! Noise wise, under load there is barely any change in the close-to-inaudible fan noise. I was sceptical about the slim fans, but they do seem very quiet. You can also run them via a fan controller for even better noise management. Overall an excellent product that both massively improves cooling and reduces noise. I would happily recommend it.
