Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 High Performance CPU Cooler for Intel and AMD
Building on the legacy of the Freezer 7 Pro. Arctic have now released the Freezer 13. Bigger and better cooling for your CPU.
The Freezer 13 carries the legacy of the renowned Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2. Totalling eight high-performance heatpipes the cooler brings 200 watt cooling performance for any current desktop CPU. But that’s not all, it will do this in virtual silence.
Features
- Excellent cooling performance - 200 Watts
- Ultra quiet 92mm PWM fan with low noise impeller
- Four U-shaped heatpipes and 45 fins for efficient heat dissipation
- Pre-applied ARCTIC MX-4
- Easy installation
- Compatible with Intel LGA1366/1155/1156/775 and AMD FM1/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/939/940/754
Superior Cooling Capacity
With detailed engineering design, the Freezer 13 comprises of four U-shaped high performance heatpipes and 45 efficiently formed aluminium fins. The maximum cooling capacity for this cooler is 200W and is able to dissipate a massive amount of heat that is produced in high-end desktop CPUs.
Ultra Quiet
Operated with a 92mm PWM fan, the entire running operation remains whisper quiet, even at full load. The fan speed normally runs from 600 to 2000 RPM, which is sufficient to maintain your CPU at ideal temperature.
Multi Compatibility
The Freezer 13 features wide compatibility with AMD and Intel sockets. Its simple mounting system is designed to fit all current CPU platforms which makes this cooler very versatile.
Easy Installation
The unique mounting system via push pins offers excellent stability and is installed within seconds. The pre-applied ARCTIC MX-4 thermal compound makes the installation a quick and clean process.

Customer Reviews
Great cooler for the money (but blows vertically!)
I got this and it works very well compared to my stock AMD CPU cooler, very quite and got my temps down from high fifty c to high forty c BUT connecting it to my ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe (AM2+) motherboard will only allow me to blow vertically (not horizontally) as the socket hooks are above and below the CPU (not either side) so I’m not getting optimal flow in the case!
==EDIT== Must admit the cooler does work very well regardless of the concern I raised above. I put a fan on the top of the case (near the back) to help suck out the air that comes through this cooler and it works really well. I’m happy! Just ordered a bulldozer and M5A97 Pro m/b and 16Gb, will let you know if it works with an AM3+ (the description doesn’t mention it!)
Hi Matthew
Yes with this particular cooler the fitting on AMD boards only allows for the fan to blow up towards the top of the case (in a tower system) or down. While this may interfere slightly with the airflow I think that the benefits of this cooler (low cost and high performance) far outweigh the slight decrease in airflow through the system.

A better sounding noise!
I’ve replaced the stock i5 Intel cooler with one of these and as well as being quieter by about 50%, the tone of the noise is much less intrusive being the sound of air moving - and not the motor running. The cooling overall is about 3-4c less than stock at normal running, however the peak temperature under 50% load is around 6c cooler. Very satisfied for the price.
Very good quality Item
Much bigger than I expected. Brought for my old acer veriton 7700GX With P4 Processor. Very tight fit against my power supply only just managed to squeeze it in. I would imagine this is much bigger than any stock CPU cooler remember to take a measurement first to ensure this will fit in your case. According to speedFan My CPU is now in the 30C-37C region. The stock CPU was very loud like a jumbo jet landing. Old reading was hitting 61C. As you can see the Arctic Freezer 13 is maintaining a great temperature and is very quiet, you wouldn’t even know it was running. I found the push pins very difficult to get in the holes they do bend if not aligned properly with the holes. A bit of a pain. I found this the hardest part of fitting it.
Overall all a great item.
