At least you can see where the money went. The build quality is excellent, from the huge cooler, to the two supplied fans. Yes, The Noctua comes supplied with a pair of brown and beige 120mm fans, we’re not sure about the colour scheme, but the extra airflow should come in handy.

Installing the Noctua takes a while, but it’s not a fiddly or frustrating experience, and once you’re finished you’ll have no complaints about the fit. Once the heat sink is attached, the two fans simply clip directly to it.

A bit too big for my motherboard.

,

There was a slight issue with this beast, it went over 2 of my RAM-slots. Otherwise a very good CPU cooler and silent as a ninja.

Oh yes, it's very good and very quiet BUT beware

,

It’s bleeding enormous. It was so tall that I had to take my mobo off the sliding installation backplate and re-install it inside the (full size) case which was a bit fiddly. But I am pleased with it as it is exceptionally quiet. Just be sure it will go inside your system!!!

Superb cooler!

,

I spent weeks reading reviews on a variety of 1156 coolers before deciding that this was the one to get. It is a beast. I had to remove a side fan from my NZXT Lexa case to get it in. The clips on the fans were a bit fiddly but the rest of the install process was relatively easy.

I’m running both fans at 100% speed and it’s still quieter than the stock fan (not surprisingly). My Core i5 750 idles at 35 degrees on cores #0 and #2 whilst #1 sits around 32 degrees and #3 is at 30 degrees. I’ve read some reviews which encountered the same issue. Perhaps I need to reapply the thermal grease.

Playing Crysis pushes it up to 50 degrees which is still relatively cool. I haven’t tried it with max utilisation of all CPU cores yet but I expect the temps will still be good.

So overall, a very good cooler and an excellent service from Quiet PC.
