really good card and well worth the money at this price. the heatsink is really large and i had to move things to make it fit (even with a spacious case). but now its in there at last, its not gone above 38 degrees so i guess it works :-) i like it!

Great mid-range silent graphics card, performs well. The heat sink fins are a little thin, so you have to be careful handling it not to bend them. Watch out if you give your PC a burn-in period with the case off, the heat pipes get so hot they can burn you if you touch them especially if the airflow is poor.

This is a long card! I only just managed to get it into my case so I’d check the dimensions to be on the safe side. Apart from that it’s superb. My case internal temp has gone up a bit but my Nesteq fan controller sorts all that out. My ‘quietpc’(!), dual monitors (watching the cricket on one while I work…), extra desktop space make me very happy. Thanks for sourcing a great product.

I purchased two of these cards from QuietPC on 23rd July and they turned up on the 24th, so that was Good Thing #1.

Good Thing #2 was that the enormous heatsinks on these cards coupled with my shiny new Antec 1200 case’s fans keeps these two cards (idling, SLIed) at about 30-35C… I couldn’t believe it! The cards were part of an overall upgrade of my rig and they replaced two 7950GT cards that were typically 43-45C (idling, SLIed; although that might be unfair as my previous case, a NZXT Zero, doesn’t have much front-to-back airflow).

I have yet to test these in games as I’m still re-configuring my system but from what I’ve seen I expect the temps to be excellent. The 10 stars aren’t an exaggeration; the only way these could be better is if they were GTX 200 series or some such, but that’s just the usual hopelessly-trying-to-find-a-failing critic in me. ;-)
