Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo Pro VGA cooler

I want to thank QuietPC.com team, in perfect condition for sending the Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo VGA cooler Pro, and in only 12 days, much faster than I thought.

I installed the cooler on a Geforce video card XFX 9800GTX + which was very hot because the original heatsink and fan are really bad. Constantly hung with any game, any resolution and at different levels of detail. It’s a very good video card and achieves good frame rate but in internet I found that this model came with a manufacturing defect is that the GPU becomes very hot. That’s why I decided to change all your cooling system for the Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo Pro VGA and really was amazed with the results of the temperature.

With Cool original and load: max 92C, With the Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo Pro VGA load: max 76C.

In conclusion I am very satisfied with this product from Arctic Cooling that besides being very good, is easy to install, and very quiet with respect to the original cooler.

I bought this for my GT 240 after the stock cooler failed. Was surprised at how big it was but managed to fit it without too much trouble, using Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound. My only problem arose when I was unable to fit one of the memory heat sinks to the card. This was because the layout of the memory on my card differed slightly to those in the instructions. This meant that the was no clearance between the cooler’s heat pipes and the modules themselves. Despite this I must say it does its job really well. With the stock cooler my gpu was 50c idle and 75c under load, now its 26c idle and 45- 50c loaded. also its virtually silent. I would definitely recommend this cooler, just be aware of how big it is and make sure you have plenty of room next to your card before you buy.

Installation was relatively easy, my card wasn’t reference so one or two of the small heatsinks didn’t fit. The fans can be set to 7v or 12v which is handy, although even at 12v I cant hear the fans.

pros -

• very quiet on 7v or 12v
• easily fitted
• temperatures have dropped (from 80c to 60c load)

cons -

• slightly expensive but well worth it
• maybe the fact the air stays inside the case but so far mine is fine

I was almost tempted to kit my other powercolor 4890 with it but for nearly £30 I decided against it.

Have fitted this to my ATI 5870 and its great. Can’t hear it at all even on full load. Temps using Furmark before 67-72c now 53-56c. I would highly recommend this cooler its awesome.

Hey Everyone.

The title is explaining all. One of the heat-pipes on the cooler collides with one of the components on the Graphic Card.

I brought this to replace the standard fan unit on my Radeon Sapphire HD5850 when it started making excess noise, most likely due to a bearing issue.

It was very easy to install, as the unit supplied is obviously the latest version so more compatible with 5850’s as there is a now a cut-out in the fins to accommodate the double DVI sockets found in some 5850’s, so there is no need the trim or bend fins to get it to fit like it says on some forums.

Once fitted, is very quite, and has great cooling performance, idling at 34’ and no notable increase in noise when in games. I definitely would recommend this product.

Fitted one of these to an ATI HD4870 which had the centre stock fan, the only thing to note I had to cut a few fins off the stick on heatsink, that goes under the heatpipes. Other than that fitted very quickly all chip heatsinks stuck and have remained there ( clean with rubber before sticking on ) , running at 100% you can barely hear it. Idle now at 39’ compared to 51’ on the stock cooler and much lower temps under load without noise, Awesome!

Firstly would like to thank Quietpc for an excellent delivery service! Just finished building my very first rig and could not believe how noisy my XFX4890 was, sounded like the thing was going to take off and then developed a very annoying rattle when I lowered the fan speed!! Ordered one of these bad boys. Installation was very easy, even for someone like me who has never taken off a GPU cooler before. All I would recommend is take your time and follow the instructions.

Fired up my PC and could not believe how quiet this was, had to check to make sure the fans where actually turning! I play LOTRO and my card didn’t even break a sweat with all settings maxed out. One very happy customer and could not recommend this cooler more, buy one!!!
