Zalman CNPS9900-DF Dual Fan Ultra Quiet CPU Cooler

Sporting high-end cooling performance, dual fan technology, composite heatpipes and broad compatibility, the CNPS9900-DF has a lot going for it and therefore cannot be ignored if you require a great looking/high performance CPU cooler.

Features

  1. New and improved CNPS9900 with dual fan technology
  2. Triple composite heatpipes for greater cooling
  3. Supplied with Zalman ZM-STG2 thermal paste
  4. Nickel plated
  5. Very quiet from only 19.0 dB(A)
  6. Compatible with Intel LGA2011/1366/1155/1156/775 and AMD FM2/FM1/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2

Cross Bending Fin Technology

Front and rear airflow incident angles are designed in different directions. This cross bending fin technology produces cooling performance with minimum noise.

Triple Composite Heatpipes

Three composite heat pipes and pure copper cross bending fins quickly cool down the heat from the CPU.

Zalman’s ‘Composite Heatpipe’ features a sintered metal type wick, resulting in outstanding capillary pumping performance and a high thermal conductive design of axial grooves which increases the heat transfer rate by 50% compared to standard heatpipes.

Dual Blue LED Fans

Cross Bending ultra quiet powerful 120mm front fan and 140mm centre fan produces excellent performance. To top things off both fans produce a beautiful blue LED glow.

Mirror Base

Zalman’s unique sanding process provides excellent heat transfer ability.

Compatible with Midi Cases

With a height of 154mm and 180mm width the CNPS9900-DF fits in a variety of cases including normal midi cases.

High Compatibility

Compatible with Intel Socket LGA 2011, 1366, 1155, 1156, 775 and AMD Socket FM2, FM1, AM3+, AM3, AM2+ and AM2. All thanks to the supplied clips and brackets.

High Performance thermal Compound

ZM-STG2 helps to maximise the heat transfer from CPU to CNPS9900-DF base allowing optimal cooling performance.

Cooling performance overall is very in the high-end segment of heatpipe coolers, a small chunk behind say Noctua’s NH-D14 coolers. That cooler of course is completely silent though. We should add though that the Zalman CNPS 9900 DF has a lot of additional capacity, we like that very much as that is interesting for overclockers.

Awesome, but huge

,

It’s a lovely cooler, very quiet. But make sure you make your measurements. Currently i can’t use the front fan as it’s touching my Memory Dimms. The fan is facing the correct direction. Also my case has a sliding tray for the motherboard, the fan is just touching the case, so make sure you are mounting into a pc that is a) wide enough or b) doesn’t have a sliding tray. I think you will be suitably impressed with the level of sounds and cooling performance from this fan.
