Nice - but problems with AM3 socket

,

No doubt this is a great piece of engineering and very quiet.

But, I have a motherboard with an AM3 socket. This type of cooler can only be mounted one way on an AM3 socket, causing the heat sink fins to stick out over the first RAM DIMM socket on my motherboard.

The RAM I am using also have heat sinks, this means the first RAM DIMM is pushed right on the fins of the Zalman heat sink once it has been installed. Ideally, it would make sense to mount the Zalman heat sink the other way around, but this isn’t possible using an AM3 socket.
